Enumerator Training Successfully Completed – Ready for Field Implementation

The Industrial Services Bureau (ISB) successfully conducted a two-day Enumerator Training Programme on 23rd and 24th July 2026 to prepare the field data collection team for the national assessment titled:

“Nutrition and Dietary Behaviour Assessment of Households with Children Aged 6–59 Months and Pregnant Women: A Comparative Study between National Social Protection Beneficiaries and Non-Beneficiaries.”

The training equipped enumerators with comprehensive knowledge on the survey methodology, digital data collection using ODK, ethical data collection practices, participant engagement, and quality assurance procedures. Practical exercises and field simulations were also conducted to ensure the team is fully prepared for field implementation.

With the successful completion of the training programme, the ISB field team is ready to commence field data collection across the selected districts in collaboration with the Medical Research Institute (MRI) under the technical and financial support of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). This nationally important assessment will generate valuable evidence to support evidence-based nutrition policies and strengthen social protection programmes in Sri Lanka.
