Empowering the Next Generation for a Sustainable Future
On 13th August 2025, ISB together with Acted and Biodiversity Sri Lanka held a training program on Circular Economic concepts and Plastic Waste Management for school children in the Kalutara District at the District Secretariat, Kalutara. The program, organized under the EU-Switch Asia funded PLASTICS Project, aimed to enhance knowledge and awareness on sustainable resource management, reduction of single-use plastics, and the application of circular economy principles at community level. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen youth engagement in addressing plastic pollution and fostering long-term behavioral change towards a sustainable future. It was inspiring to witness the enthusiasm and active participation of the students, who are truly the changemakers of tomorrow.
