A delegation from All China Environmental Federation (ACEF), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) and some Chinese industries who are involved in wastewater treatment had visited ISB on 16th July 2026. The delegation was led by Mr. Shi Xiang, Secretary-General, BRIC Working Committee, ACEF and Dr. Wang Yawei, Associate Professor, Office of Overseas Environmental Science and Technology Cooperation, Research Centre for Eco-Environmental Sciences, CAS.

This visit was mainly focused on leveraging the Chinese industries which are involved in preserving the environment particularly wastewater treatment with Sri Lankan industries through ACEF, CAS and ISB. Also, ISB officials will have opportunities to visit China for trainings, workshops and factory visits.

The meeting was successfully ended up with exchange of tokens of appreciation and a group photo. The discussions in between ACEF, CAS and ISB will continue until they sign a Memorandum of Understanding in near future.
