Business Development Activities with Swedish Co-operative Centre,Tangalle Completed

Providing of Entrepreneurship Development Trainings, Preparation of Business plans, Implementation of the program, providing of continuous advisory services, Development of record keeping practices, Technical training and Monitoring and Evaluation activities were included in the service package. Project covered the business sectors such as Agriculture, Livestock Development, Food processing, Spice preparation, Tailoring, Retail trading, Aquaculture, Farming of Ornamental fish, Bricks making and coir spinning sectors etc.

Business Development Programmes for 8 Fisheries Co-operative Societies in Hambanthota District

Main business of the fisheries co-operative societies are collecting of Savings and providing of small loans.

Objective of this project was to Strengthen of financial stability of the fisheries co-operative through introducing of alternative businesses. Preparation of Business plans, Implementation of the programme, providing of continuous advisory services, Development of record keeping practices etc.

Technical training and Monitoring and Evaluation activities were included in the service package. Production of mushrooms, establishment of communication centers, establishment of gas selling centers,  Renting of ceremonial items, poultry farming, promoting of
madala industry are the implemented businesses.

Providing of consultancy service for coir processing factory at Yayawatte in Beliaththa. (Implemented by: Sarana Foundation, Donation by: Mercy Corps)  -Ongoing project

Service package covers all the consultancy services related to technical, management and marketing.

Preparation of Micro Enterprise Development Programme (MEDP) for the Ruhunu Wellassa Area Development Federation at Hambanthota.  -Ongoing project
