Another milestone for ISB history!

It is with utmost happiness and great honor to declare that Industrial Services Bureau (ISB), North Western Province had obtained ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System awarded by Sri Lanka Standard Institution on 30th July 2016. Throughout 26 years of un-interrupted journey of ISB, this is one of the great milestones they ever achieved. There are only a very few public sector organizations who obtained this international quality standard system, which immensely help to maintain quality and standards of their services. The ultimate objective of this endeavor would be to focus on continual improvement to the process of ISB by introducing necessary management tools to improve working practices throughout the entire organization. While doing so ISB would expect to provide high standard, efficient and effective services to delight it’s clientele. ISO 9001 certification is suitable for all sizes and types of organizations and is well established around the world as an invaluable Quality Management tool and standard. It is suitable for organizations in all industry and services sectors and will help organizations to improve management processes to compete locally and/or globally. The process encompasses the entire organization and requires senior management buy-in, it is not just a function of an individual or the Quality Department. To achieve ISO 9001 certification, ISB had gone through a process of over 04 years to demonstrate that they meet the regulatory requirements and apply the system effectively to be of real benefit to their customers. When ISB celebrate it’s 25th Anniversary in 2015, they have set very ambitious Vision is to be the “Nations’ leader in providing total solution for industry and enterprise excellence”. The management of ISB believes that ISO 9001:2008 quality management system will undoubtedly support to reach their dream. In order to achieve the above Vision, ISB has set a dynamic Mission as “Offering valued, innovative and customized solutions in Investment promotion, Industrial and enterprise development & training, Project Management and consultancy, Technical & environmental consultancy to a wide range of regional, national and international clients for their sustainability in a flexible and highly professional manner”. ISB emphasized that while obtaining, ISO 9001:2008 quality management system, they could further improve their services and provide an efficient and effective services for their clientele to delight them. In this continual improvement process ISB has set their Quality policy as; “We are committed to serve as a model of excellence, and trendsetters for industrial, business development, project management, consultancy and professional development service providers in Sri Lanka in the provision of providing Innovative, High Quality, and Efficient services to delighted our clientele. We are dedicated to create a pleasant and challenging working environment while continuous improvement of our human resource base to ensure their development as individuals and in return to provide a better services to our clientele. We are committed to follow ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System requirements to continually improve the quality of our services”. A special event organized on Friday 26th August, at the Kandyan Reach hotel Kurunegala to celebrate this wonderful achievement and officially handing over the ISO 9001: 2008 certificate to ISB under the patronage of Hon. Amara Piyaseeli Rathnayake, Governor, and Hon. Dharmasiri Dassanayake, Chief Minister of North Western Province with the presence of Mr. Jayantha Wijerathne, Chief Secretary/Chairman and Board of Management of ISB inviting their valuable clientele. / Throughout this process our main aim is for the vibrant & better tomorrow for all our stakeholders.
